My name is Ron Gallant (KM4GPD). I am an import from Newfoundland, Canada. In 2000 I came down to Jacksonville, FL, USA to work for a large insurance company as a web designer and developer. I have three children whom share my passion for the outdoors.
After many years of thinking about it, I finally studied and passed my Amateur Radio Technicians exam. As of yet I have not found an Elmer and really don't know what I am doing. As of December 31, 2014 I have yet to make first contact.

I went to my first HAM club meeting. The folks at NOFARS (nofars.org) seem like a friendly group who are enthusiastic about this hobby. Glad to be a part of this club and look forward to the upcoming meetings and events.
